New York Yankees OF Giancarlo Stanton may not be back until August (Report)

It’s officially a “here we go again” situation for the New York Yankees. On Tuesday, outfielder Giancarlo Stanton left early in the Bombers’ win against the Toronto Blue Jays.

He exited due to an apparent knee injury and would go for an MRI. Despite the MRI coming back clean, the Yanks still placed Stanton on the 10-day IL and diagnosed him with a posterior cruciate ligament sprain in his right knee.

However, Stanton will be out much longer than 10 days. Yankees general manager Brian Cashman indicated on Thursday from London that Stanton will be out for a “some time” due to the injury.
