The New York Yankees have apparently signed an old friend in right-hand pitcher Adam Warren; if true, it will be his fourth time with the Yankees. The signing was for a minor league contract. Warren had Tommy John surgery during September of 2019, so he should be ready to go if invited to spring training. The report initially came from Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. CBS News reports he signed Tuesday afternoon.
The 33-year-old righty reliever Warren pitched in the New York Yankees majors from 2012 to 2015 before becoming a Chicago Cub but was traded back with the Yankees in 2016.
