Well, today the New York Yankees have resigned first-base and outfield utility-man Garrett Jones.

Jones was recently designated for assignment in order to make room for Dustin Ackley following the MLB trade deadline. As Curry noted above, Jones elected free agency instead of taking a minor league assignment, but with Ackley heading to the 15-day DL, the Yankees decided to bring him back.
