The New York Yankees once again have had to make an unusual amount of call-ups this season with all the injuries that have been sustained. A majority have been for outfielders, which was kind of expected with an older group of players, along with their playing style. One of the call-ups was Mason Williams, a 23-year old from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He played just eight games for the Yankees before getting injured, and unfortunately it appears that will be it for the rest of this season.
The Yankees announced today that Williams would be having season ending shoulder surgery.
