Far too many New York Yankees employees have left the Electric City this season.
From the Red Barons (Philadelphia Phillies Triple-A affiliate) to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders to the Yankees own personal minor-league squad in the Bronx, the Electric City has lived up to its name in 2019.
Next up is relief pitcher Jake Barrett.
Barrett, 27, joins the Yankees as the latest replacement of a fallen star. In three big-league seasons—all with the Arizona Diamondbacks—the righty owns a 4.05 ERA, 1.361 WHIP and 88 strikeouts in 93.1 innings pitched.
