Right-handed reliever and New Jersey native Andrew Bailey has been on the comeback trail for quite some time after undergoing shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum in 2013.
After numerous setbacks, it appears that Bailey is finally on the verge of completing his comeback and returning to a major league mound.
On June 28th, he was moved up to AA Trenton Thunder and has looked sharp ever since, posting a 1.50 ERA while striking out seven and giving up one earned in six innings.
In his last two outings, Bailey finally looked like his old self, pitching on back-to-back days and recording two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out a pair in both appearances.
