Some good news for the New York Yankees on the injury front – outfielder Clint Frazier will return from an ankle injury on Friday. He’s eligible to come off the injured list at the end of the week, but it’s likely manager Aaron Boone will ease him back into the lineup to ensure he’s fully healthy.
“Thursday on the off day he will come in and do arc runs [along the outfield grass, from first to third],” Boone said before the Yankees’ 3-1 loss to the Diamondbacks. “If that goes well we’ll talk about what is next because at that point he would be cleared for game action and how we want to move forward with that.
