There’s good news and bad news, New York Yankees fans. The good news is that Luis Severino is set to finally climb back on the mound again; the bad news is that it won’t be in a game.
Speaking to the New York Post’s George A. King III, Bombers manager Aaron Boone said he expects his ace to toss from a mound “in the next couple of weeks.”
Severino hasn’t thrown a pitch since he imploded in Game 3 of the 2018 ALDS. The 25-year-old missed spring training due to shoulder inflammation, and a lat strain in April exacerbated the situation.
