The New York Yankees will be re-evaluating starting pitcher Luis Severino around March 19th, but his throwing program will be pushed back as expected ahead of the season opener. Before Severino’s expected first Grapefruit League appearance, he felt a “pull” in his shoulder, causing him to miss the game and receive x-rays on the shoulder.
The Yankees’ ace walked away with an inflamed rotator cuff, possibly due to the testing of new pitches. There could be a variety of reasons for his ailment.
On Friday, Luis stated that the pain in his right shoulder as he lifted it was gone – one day after a cortisone shot.
