It’s no secret: the New York Yankees have been ravaged by injuries this season. Still, the team continues to dominate (81-41 at time of publication) any and all opponents (but especially the Orioles).
Now, the Yankees may be getting a familiar face back soon.
According to The Athletic’s Lindsay Adler, skipper Aaron Boone reported that Jordan Montgomery threw a simulated game and is “getting close to game action.”
Montgomery, a fourth-round pick in 2014, has not seen game action since injuring his elbow in May 2018 and subsequently undergoing Tommy John surgery.
