The headache that has been the 2019 MLB offseason continues.
According to a report from Wallace Matthews of the New York Daily News, the New York Yankees have “talked in concepts” with superstar Manny Machado.
Matthews’ goes on to say that those concepts are not close to the reported offers the Chicago White Sox have out there for Machado. Chicago has reportedly offered the 26-year-old a seven-year $175 million contract and an eight-year $250 million contract.
Machado and his agent Dan Lozano are looking for a 10-year deal with a price tag over $300 million, but the problem is that it appears no team wants to go further than eight years for Machado’s services.
