Like a good Gleyber, Torres will be there for Troy Tulowitzki at shortstop in 2019. At least, that’s what New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said in an interview on Sunday.
Boone told the New York Post’s Steve Serby that Gleyber Torres will see a lot of action at short:
“I think the question with Troy is, assuming health, is how much is he able to bounce back day in and day out. Even if Troy is completely healthy, there’s gonna be some significant playing time I think for Gleyber at shortstop until Didi (Gregorius) does come back.
