Perhaps the most unique regular season MLB game is happening today. The New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox will meet in Dyersville, Iowa.
If you build it, they will come. And that’s exactly what MLB did in the small lot where Field Of Dreams was filmed. Now a nearly 8,000-seat ballpark, it will host a meeting between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees on Thursday.
It cost approximately $5 million to create, but it’s clear that MLB is aiming for a remarkable experience. Obviously, the atmosphere is impressive, but the league hasn’t forgotten about home viewers.
