Sabathia left New York’s ALCS Game 4 loss to the Houston Astros with a career-ending injury. But the tears in his eyes weren’t birthed by pain or disappointment:
“I think that’s what got me more emotional than actual injury,” he told NJ.com’s Brendan Kuty. “Just hearing the fans and the way that they were cheering me and it was just — makes me feel good. Makes me feel like I made the right choice 11 years ago.
