New York Yankees: Andrew McCutchen heading to the Bronx (Report)

After Thursday night’s heartbreaking 8-7 loss to the Detroit Tigers, the New York Yankees made a move to help bolster their beat up and fatigued lineup.

According to ESPN’s Buster Olney, the Yankees acquired former NL MVP, Andrew McCutchen from the San Francisco Giants.

The Yankees will be sending back a pair of minor leaguers that includes infielder Abital Avelino, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. Avelino is listed by MLB Pipeline as the 23rd ranked prospect in the Yankees organization.

I hear if the trade is completed #yankees will be sending two prospects to the #sfgiants for McCutchen and that Abital Avelino is one of them.
