New York Yankees Acquire Ronald Torreyes and Tyler Olson from Dodgers

Both the 26-year old Tyler Olson and the 23-year old Ronald Torreyes were both designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Dodgers before being traded to the Yankees, and now Brian Cashman has filled his 40-man roster within a matter of days.

Torreyes, a native of Venezuela played a total of eight games as a September call up for the Dodgers last season, notching two hits in six at bats with one RBI and one run scored. Prior to that he was a suitcase in 2015, playing at both the Double-A and Triple A levels for the Tulsa Drillers (LAD), New Hampshire Fisher Cats (TOR), Fresno Grizzlies (HOU) and Oklahoma City Dodgers (LAD).
