Entering the 2018 season, the New York Yankees were riding high from their unexpected 2017 playoff run. Yet, 2018 fell short for the Bombers, as they ran into the World Champion Boston Red Sox early on in the playoffs.
So, what does that mean for 2019? The New York Yankees are actually even better than their 2018 counterparts, at least according to their manager Aaron Boone.
“I’d like to think we are [better], but we were pretty good last year,” Boone told reporters according to Erik Boland of Newsday Sports. “And I know leaving at this time last year I felt pretty good about things.
