Not only did the New York Yankees lose ground in the hunt for the division title, but they also saw both their offense and pitching. They ranked in the bottom half of the league in those respective categories, which has to be a cause for concern for both the team and fans alike. The good news is that the Yanks clinched the wild card, guaranteeing themselves at least one chance to break out of their funk. Nevertheless, here are four players who failed to finish strong in the last full month of the regular season:
As a whole, Brian McCann’s season was largely successful, ranking third on the team with 26 HRs and leading the team with 94 RBIs.
