The Yankees won Tuesday night’s game against the White Sox in dramatic fashion. Trailing 4-2 in the eighth inning, Aaron Hicks evened the score with a monstrous two-run homer. Then, in the bottom of the ninth, Neil Walker sent everyone home happy by launching a walk-off home run to right field. He did it on the first pitch, too!
After the game, the heroes met with the media to discuss their performance. Walker told Meredith Marakovits that he was hunting fastballs from Dylan Covey. “I saw him attack Greg [Bird] in the inning before with a lot of fastballs,” explained, “and I just wanted to make sure I was ready for ‘em.
