Monday afternoon was a busy one in baseball, despite the fact that no actual baseball was played (unless you count the international winter leagues).
The Braves were hammered with punishments for an international signing scandal and their general manager was banned from baseball forever. Then, only a few hours later, there was more international news when the MLB Players Association authorized the agreement between the league and Nippon Professional Baseball on a new posting system, according to multiple outlets.
The bottom line in all of this is that the league isn't messing around when it comes to international signings.
