BOSTON (CBSNewYork/AP) — Major League Baseball has issued suspensions and fines for the bench-clearing melee that took place in Boston Wednesday night.

Tyler Austin rushed the mound after being hit by a pitch from Red Sox reliever Joe Kelly, triggering a bench-clearing brawl Wednesday night as New York ended Boston’s nine-game winning streak with a 10-7 victory.

Kelly was suspended six games and Austin suspended for five.
