CARLSBAD, Calif. -- Scott Boras isn't buying it.
When it was suggested to the agent that the Yankees had been putting out word that they weren't interested in his superstar client Bryce Harper, Boras threw history back in the Yankees' face.
"They said that about Mark Teixeira, too," Boras told reporters at the 2018 MLB GM Meetings at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa on Wednesday afternoon.
Boras was referring to when the Yankees appeared disinterested in the slugging first baseman, only to give Texieria an eight-year, $180-million deal in 2008.
