It would appear that it's just a matter of time before ex-Yankees captain Derek Jeter cuts ties with ex-Yankees captain Don Mattingly.
The Marlins moved one step closer to that scenario on Monday:

Jeter has been overhauling the Marlins since joining the organization as CEO and minority owner last year.
He dumped salary by sending 2017 National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton to the Yankees.
