The Houston Astros and New York Yankees appear to be "at an impasse" in trade talks involving veteran catcher Brian McCann, reports Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com.
Multiple reports claimed the Astros are interested in the 32-year-old McCann, who is owed $34 million over the next two seasons and holds a full no-trade clause. Houston has a hole to fill at catcher with Jason Castro being a free agent, and could use a lefty-hitting bat to balance out the lineup, a mold that McCann could fit.
Rosenthal, however, says talks have stalled and the Astros are more likely to seek offensive help in the free-agent market.
