Pitcher Bartolo Colon, 44 and still hungry to keep playing, will get a chance to win a roster spot this spring, as he found a new opportunity on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Mets, one of Colon’s many former clubs, still are on the hunt for a third baseman. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, they’re wondering if Todd Frazier, one of their targets, is interested in signing with them or perhaps trying to entice the Yankees, his believed first choice, to up the ante.
