MLB is not hearing it.
The league cleared the Astros of any wrongdoing after the Yankees were furious with whistles they claim were coming from Houston’s dugout during Game 1 of the ALCS as a way to signal batters.
According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, “MLB had an official in the camera well next to the Astros’ dugout in G1 and one in the back of the dugout in G2. Neither officials nor umpires heard whistling.”
The Astros did not seem to benefit in Game 1, losing 7-0 against Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka.
