MLB extends Domingo German’s administrative leave through World Series

Earlier today Major League Baseball announced the extension of Domingo German’s administrative leave “through the conclusion of the 2019 World Series.” The Yankees pitcher was first placed on leave under the Joint MLB-MLBPA Domestic Violence Policy on September 19.

Major League Baseball’s Office of the Commissioner opened an investigation into German early last week. Reports conflict on the nature of the incident, with Bob Klapisch reporting it took place in a public setting and in front of league officials. Lindsey Adler, meanwhile, reports that the incident in question occurred at German’s residence.
