The Angels arrived in The Bronx on Friday with all eyes on Shohei Ohtani.
With each passing crack of the bat Saturday night, Mike Trout served a not-so-subtle reminder that he, too, still is good at baseball.
The two-time AL MVP went 5-for-5 with three doubles, three runs scored and four RBIs and homered for the third straight game to captain the Angels’ 11-4 crushing of the Yankees at the Stadium.
“It’s always good to play in here and [against] the Yankees,” said Trout, the Millville, N.J., native who does most of his damage while the East Coast sleeps.
