Mike Tauchman exited Sunday’s Yankees-Red Sox game in the fourth inning after coming up lame while corralling the ball in left field.
Tauchman, who homered in the game and was 2-for-2 with two runs, was replaced by Cameron Maybin while the Yankees led 6-2.
Tauchman appeared to hurt his left leg, though the extent of the injury is unclear at this time.
Epitomizing the Yankees’ next-man-up mentality amid a slew of injuries, Tauchman entered Sunday hitting .271/.357/.484 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs.
