Miguel Andujar went deep again in his first at-bat in in the Yankees’ 10-1 win over the Red Sox Wednesday night in The Bronx.
It wasn’t exactly Miguel Andujar’s most impressive home run, since it traveled 340 feet and had an exit velocity of 93.8 mph, but the rookie’s second-inning shot still stood out.
Not only did it come on a 1-2 pitch from lefty David Price, it gave the Yankees their first run in what turned into a 10-1 win over the Red Sox.
It was Andujar’s 25th homer of the year, as the 23-year-old became the first rookie ever to play at least half his games at third base to hit 25 homers and 40 doubles.
