NEW YORK -- Through the first 30 games of the 2017 season, the Yankees looked like the type of team that could be remembered during a future Old Timer's Day.
Six weeks later, this year's version of Old Timer's Day in the Bronx further revealed this dull sense of reality for the sold-out crowd in the Bronx: The team that went 21-9 through its first 30 games has fallen back to earth in a big way.
Despite battling back from a big deficit, the Yankees fell to the Rangers on Sunday--losing the series and going 2-4 on the six-game home stand.
