There have been too many ups and downs in Michael Pineda’s career to make much out of two good outings, but given how the right-hander has struggled this season, the Yankees will no doubt embrace his recent success.
Coming off his best start of the season in Detroit, Pineda led the Yankees to a 6-3 win over the Angels in The Bronx on Tuesday, giving up three runs in seven innings.
He didn’t allow a hit until Aaron Hicks couldn’t catch up to Gregorio Petit’s double to right-center in the third.
