NEW YORK — Darryl Strawberry, as much as anyone, would know what it takes to come back from an 0-2 deficit in the World Series. He did it with the Mets in 1986 and with the 1996 Yankees.
So he sure has some advice for the Mets as they sit in the same spot in the World Series, down 0-2 to the Royals and back home at Citi Field.
"Down two doesn't mean anything," he said on the field Friday night.
"We were down two in '86 and we went up to Boston and we had Bobby Ojeda pitching and we had Gary Carter come up with some big hits.
