PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- When Mets third baseman Todd Frazier walked into his spring training clubhouse Wednesday morning, one of his teammates yelled, "THERE HE IS!"
"I'm here to please," the talkative ball of energy shouted back when he reached his locker. "Here to please!"
Not much has changed about the slugging third baseman from Toms River, N.J., since he left one New York team for the other last month ... not much other than his week-old beard.
That would be a no-no with the Yankees.
"It's getting too long, so it's coming off today," Frazier said before going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in an 11-4 Yankees victory.
