Matt Holliday missed Sunday’s game against the Rangers as he is dealing with issues stemming from the allergic reaction he suffered in Oakland on June 17.
Joe Girardi said before the game the Yankees are still trying to determine what’s wrong with Holliday, and he could go for more tests.
“It’s not to where it was in Oakland,” Girardi said of the severity of Holliday’s situation. “It hasn’t completely [gone] away. There’s a concern. We’ve got to figure out what’s going on here.”
The manager hopes the DH is back in the lineup Monday in Chicago, but until they determine exactly what’s wrong with Holliday, Girardi is unsure how long he will be out.
