Top Yankees pitching prospect Luis Severino logged his first Triple-A victory during a 7-2 win over Buffalo on Wednesday.
Severino struck out four in 5 1/3 innings, allowing four hits, one walk and two runs.
Severino retired the first 11 batters he faced before Matt Hague singled on a ball that hit off Severino's leg with two outs in the fourth. Severino recovered to strike out Brad Glenn swinging for the final out of the inning. After giving up a leadoff single to Andy Burns in the fifth, Severino got Daric Barton to ground into a double play and struck out Alex Hassan looking.
