PHILADELPHIA - Luis Severino dominated the Phillies in a 6-0 Yankees win, out-pitching Jake Arrieta in a battle of top right-handers on Tuesday night.
The Yankees beat the Phillies for the second straight night, ending the Phillies' streak of four consecutive series wins. The Yankees shut down the Phillies' bats Monday as well in a 4-2 win.
Severino pitched seven shutout innings, allowing six hits. He didn't walk a batter and struck out nine, including third baseman Maikel Franco for the final out of the seventh inning with runners on second and third, to become the major's first 12-game winner.
