NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Mike and the Mad Dog teamed up again for a special simulcast Friday.
The former WFAN tandem of Mike Francesa and Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, who has been nominated for the National Radio Hall of Fame, started their segment discussing whether the Yankees might be buyers or sellers as the trade deadline approaches.
“The Yankees will not be sellers unless they are at least six games behind the second wild card,” Francesa said. “If they are any closer than that, they won’t be buyers, like they weren’t last year — they’re not going to be buyers under any circumstances because they’re not giving away any of their kids — but they are not going to be sellers unless they really, in the next month, have a bad month.
