TAMPA — Jacob Lindgren wouldn’t liken his recovery from bone spur surgery last year to anything that Masahiro Tanaka is going through now. The two haven’t even compared notes about their respective operations.
But, at least going into spring camp, maybe Lindgren can represent a best-case scenario for the Yankees and their ace.
The reliever, who had a bone spur removed from his left elbow last June, says he’s “100% and feeling great right now.” Lindgren, the Yanks’ top pick in 2014, should be a factor for a big-league bullpen spot this spring.
“Doing great, arm’s feeling great,” Lindgren said after a workout at the Yankees’ minor-league complex Tuesday.
