TAMPA -- The Detroit Tigers who showed up to Steinbrenner Field on Saturday were no match for Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka.
It's been that way all spring.
Rookie slugger Aaron Judge is competing this spring for the Yankees' starting right field job. Coming up on halfway through Grapefruit League play, Judge is hitting .346 with two homers and probably is on his way to beating out veteran switch-hitter Aaron Hicks, who is batting .262 with one homer.
Tanaka was very good last season and might be on his way to being even better in 2017, which is his goal.
