NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Yankees pitcher Ivan Nova and his wife left their White Plains rental home trashed when they moved out last year, a new lawsuit charges.
The landlord, Jose Rodriguez, is suing Nova, 29, for $175,000, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday. He alleges Ivan and Jasmine Nova rented out the $4,500-a-month house from January 2014 to September 2015 and left the home in need of $50,000 in repairs.
According to papers filed in Manhattan Federal Court, the Novas threw “racuous” parties and the home had “hordes of cockroaches” as a result of them not keeping it clean.
