Law firm says A-Rod can't keep lawsuit evidence private

Alex Rodriguez has gone to court to keep more of his secrets from becoming public, but the law firm suing him over his unpaid Biogenesis legal bills says the Yankees’ steroid-stained slugger is entitled to no more privacy than any other citizen of New York.

In court papers filed Thursday in New York Supreme Court, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani attorney Peter Siachos argued that A-Rod and his attorneys are seeking a protective order blocking public disclosure of evidence gathered during discovery and to prevent Rodriguez from being deposed first in the potentially explosive case.

Gordon Rees, which played a significant role in the arbitration defense that resulted in a reduction of A-Rod’s 211-game drug suspension to 162 games, seeks to collect almost $400,000 in unpaid legal bills.
