Kobe Bryant uses Derek Jeter's site to announce he's retiring after 2015-16 season

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has made it look this season like the clock had already run out on his incredible career.

He confirmed as much in a letter penned on Derek Jeter's Players' Tribune announcing 2015-16 would be his final season in the NBA. The post, "Dear Basketball," actually crashed the site after it was published Sunday.

In the letter, Bryant said he fell in love with the game as a six-year-old boy and that he's lived his dream. "But I can't love you obsessively for much longer," he wrote.
