BOSTON -- Hours before Friday night's game, Tommy Kahnle still had not arrived at Fenway Park. But the right-handed reliever is expected to be here and be available in relief as the Yankees face the Red Sox, manager Aaron Boone said.
"He's en route now," Boone said. "I haven't gotten the update in the last hour or two, but we're hoping we think around game time."
Kahnle, who was recalled from Triple-A Scranton Wilkes/Barre, appeared in relief against the Red Sox twice this season -- on April 10 and 12.
