NEW YORK -- The threat of rain pushed the start time for the Red Sox-Yankees series opener back six hours, so the batter's box at Yankee Stadium belonged to Aaron Judge on Tuesday morning.
Judge participated in a simulated game -- his second in as many days -- inviting a crowd of club executives to gather on the field and in the dugout as they evaluated their rehabbing slugger's swings against Minor League right-hander Adonis Rosa.
General manager Brian Cashman, manager Aaron Boone, hitting coach Marcus Thames and special advisor Reggie Jackson observed as Judge's opposite-field home run highlighted a session that would not have looked out of place if it had taken place in the early weeks of Spring Training.
