ARLINGTON, Tex. – David Price is headed to Toronto and Michael Pineda is headed to the disabled list. To say Thursday wasn’t a very good day for the Yankees’ rotation is an understatement.
And that was before CC Sabathia struggled yet again.
Sabathia – starting in place of the injured Pineda – was knocked around for five runs over five-plus innings, surrendering three home runs in his latest ominous outing.
The Yankees’ offense tried to pick up Sabathia with a three-homer night of its own, two of them by Mark Teixeira.
