Retired catcher Jorge Posada criticized baseball players, including former Yankees teammate Alex Rodriguez, who used performance-enhancing drugs during an interview on Wednesday, saying it's not "fair" for them to be in the Hall of Fame.
On Thursday, however, he checked his swing.
Posada apologized to Rodriguez and softened his tone during an interview on WFAN's "Boomer and Carton Show," though he didn't exactly backtrack on his Hall opinion.
"I tried to text him yesterday," Posada said. "I felt like I was cornered into this answer. I know better. I was really caught off guard, because he was my first interview down in Miami.
