On the day the Yankees finally got Aaron Hicks back into the lineup, they lost Jonathan Loaisiga to a right shoulder strain.
The right-hander was scheduled to start Monday, but was scratched for Luis Cessa. Instead, he became the latest Yankee to hit the 10-day injured list.
He was replaced on the roster by Chance Adams, who had been slated to start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, before the game was rained out.
Loaisiga was in the rotation because James Paxton was already on the IL with left knee inflammation. Loaisiga has dealt with shoulder issues during his career.
