Following a day-night doubleheader against the Orioles, and without another off day until Monday, the Yankees made a handful of roster moves to get some fresh arms up into their bullpen before the resumption of this four-game set against lowly Baltimore on Tuesday night at Yankees Stadium.
First, the Yankees cleared some room by designating lefty Joe Mantiply for assignment and releasing another southpaw, Daniel Camarena. The Yankees had acquired Mantiply from the Reds last week and he allowed three runs in three innings in his debut Tuesday night.
The club then returned Jonathan Loaisiga from his rehab assignment and reinstated him off the 60-day injured list.
