BRONX, N.Y. — The New York Yankees do a great job of honoring Veterans and members of our military during the seventh-inning stretch. During the tradition, the team has played “God Bless America,” at Yankee Stadium, following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Could there be a new or added tradition to that when play resumes?
Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez tweeted out that when the COVID-19 pandemic ends and we get back to baseball, those health care workers on the front lines should be thanked for their heroism.
It’s a great sentiment from Sanchez because we’re all certainly cheering them on every day.
